Microsoft Puts An End to XP - or Do They?Dell Computers

Yesterday was the official end of the XP era according to Microsoft.  The original plan had been to stop selling XP in January.  But a general outcry from customers and resellers caused Microsoft to extend the deadline until June 30th.

What does this mean to our customers?  Like most of the US our customers have resisted switching to Vista and still have XP.

Well, first of all, support for XP, - updates and security fixes - will continue until 2014. So users who have XP already, can rest assured that they will not be forced to switch anytime soon.  Many new computers come with Vista but can be "Downgraded" to XP.  Some come with downgrade kits or these kits can be purchses fairly cheaply.

If you are interested there are many articals on the subject out there.  We have collected some links to a few that we found interesting.
